Course Content:

Establishing a Strong Yoga Practice-Understanding how to develop your home practice and use it to create your teaching style

Anatomy and Physiology of Flow Yoga-Understanding how the components and mechanics of the human body relate to the experience of yoga both anatomically and esoterically

Teaching Methodology-Learning the skills of seeing, listening and responding with compassion and clear guidance

In-depth Asana Training-Building a clear foundation for building safe, strong and expansive poses and Sanskrit terms.

Introduction to Pranyama-The art of breathing is the thread that binds our practice to our spirit

Introduction to Dhyana-The art of meditation or concentration is the path that grounds our practice into the present

Introduction to Yogic Spiritual Doctrine and Philosophy-Study of the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras

And in-Depth Study of the Yamas and Niyamas-Looking at an ethical approach to our relationship with ourselves and others

Practicum-Developing and teaching a class with feedback.

The Yoga of Business-Setting goals, marketing and continuing education

 

Course Details

Who: The Boundless Yoga Teacher Training is for groups of 6-10 individuals, who are interested in becoming yoga teachers, bringing yoga modalities into their current profession, or deepening their yoga practice.

 

What: Boundless Yoga Center 200 hour Teacher Training is certified with the Yoga Alliance.

 The 180 contact hours for the curriculum are:
       160 hours of intensive training
       10 hours of observation of training director
       10 hours assistant teaching with training director

 The 20 non-contact hours for the curriculum are:
        10 hours reading and homework
         5 hours classroom observation of accomplished teachers in the area and journaling the observations
         5 hours of documented journaling of their home practice

 

When: Teacher trainings occur 3 times a year and will involve three intensive weekends and weekly classes.

 

Where: The training will be conducted at Vida Yoga Studio and Boundless Yoga Studio in Boulder, Colorado.
